Bridging Gaps Partners with Hodari Foundation and Expands to Kyaka II Refugee Settlement

At Bridging Gaps, our commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and fostering positive change knows no bounds. We are delighted to share the exciting news that we have expanded our operations to Kyaka II Refugee Settlement in Uganda, opening up new possibilities for refugee entrepreneurs striving to build a better future.

The journey to Kyaka II marks a significant milestone in our mission to connect entrepreneurs from underserved communities with the essential support needed to bring their projects to life. Our recent training session, led by our local partner, Hodari Foundation, brought together future refugee entrepreneurs in a dynamic brainstorming session. Witnessing the enthusiasm and creativity of these individuals was truly inspiring.

Hodari Foundation, our esteemed local partner, plays a vital role in this expansion. They are a small but impactful Community Based Organization (CBO) that operates within Kyaka II refugee camp. What sets Hodari apart is their commitment to deploying a Human-Centered-Design Approach and a Theory of Change to support the resilience of livelihoods among refugee children, women, and youth, including those with disabilities, as well as the host community in Kyaka II refugee settlement.

The foundation's initiatives include training fellow refugees in vegetable growing and the production of organic fertilizers and pesticides. By focusing on sustainable practices and community empowerment, Hodari Foundation aligns seamlessly with Bridging Gaps' mission to create lasting positive change.

Stay tuned for the upcoming wave of microloan applications from Kyaka II Refugee Settlement, supported by Hodari Foundation. These applications will soon be featured on our website, showcasing the inspiring entrepreneurial endeavors emerging from this dynamic community. Each application represents a story of resilience, determination, and the unyielding spirit to build a brighter future against all odds.

As we venture into Kyaka II, we are reminded of the transformative power of collaboration and the potential that lies within each individual, regardless of their circumstances. Bridging Gaps remains dedicated to creating opportunities, fostering entrepreneurship, and breaking down barriers for those who dare to dream, no matter where they are in the world.

The expansion to Kyaka II is not just an extension of our operations; it is a testament to the belief that every entrepreneur, regardless of their background, deserves the chance to turn their aspirations into reality. We invite you to join us on this journey of empowerment, resilience, and positive change as we continue to bridge gaps and create pathways to a brighter future in Kyaka II Refugee Settlement and beyond.
