Joska can start her tailoring business because of a microloan

Joska is a 29-year-old South Sudanese refugee who is receiving a Bridging Gaps microloan provided by Athari Group. This is her story:

"I fled my country in 2016 when the war broke out in South Sudan; and escaped to our neighbor country Uganda. We were hosted by UNHCR in August 2016 and my husband joined us later. Now, we are surviving on the food rations given by the World Food Programme to support our daily lives.

I want to start a tailoring business to provide school children with uniforms. My plan is to sew uniforms and sell these to the schools.”
